Lloyd Allen Myers


    Lloyd Allen Myers of Cuba, Missouri was born on Thursday, April 21, 1949 in Welch, West Virginia to Otis Lloyd and Maxine Henrietta Allen Myers and passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at the age of 71 years and 3 days.


    Lloyd served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He also served in the National Guard and Army Reserves.  
    Lloyd married Wanda R. Hoke on August 12, 1972 in Cuba, Missouri.
    Lloyd retired from Doe Run Mines, Sullivan, Missouri working in several different positions.
    Lloyd was a member of the Covenant Praise Church of God in Cuba, Missouri where he served as an usher and was involved in the nursing home ministry. He was a very friendly man and enjoyed making people smile. His hobby was fishing.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Maxine Myers; sister, Pat Long; and parents-in-law, Jim and Hilda Hoke.
    He is survived by his wife, Wanda Myers of Cuba, Missouri; son, Jason and wife Vicki Myers of St. James, Missouri; daughter, Misty Myers and fiancé Leo Boyer of Cuba, Missouri; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sandy and husband Stanley Delcour of Illinois; other relatives and friends.
    A private graveside service was held at the Meramec Hills Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri with Darren Dake officiating with full military honors.
    Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
