Gloria Jean Stroup (nee Hamilton) of Bourbon, Missouri was born July 20, 1948 in St. Louis to Dennis and Juanita Bayless Hamilton and passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at the age of 71 years and 9 months.
Gloria married James Stroup in September of 1969 in Cuba, Missouri
Gloria graduated from Cuba High School and Cosmetology School. She worked in real estate for a few years and volunteered for the Red Cross. She enjoyed making ceramics, spending some time on the computer and traveling to Canada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Juanita Hamilton; and one great grandson, Bennett Kitchen.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Stroup of Bourbon, Missouri; one son, James Lee (Lisa) Stroup I of Steelville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Billie Jean (Mark) Kitchen of Bourbon, Missouri and James Lee (Liz) Stroup II of Steelville, Missouri; four great grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Hamilton of Utah; other relatives and friends.
The family chose cremation as the final disposition.
There will be an inurnment at a later date in the Martin-Trask Cemetery in Cherryville, Missouri.
