Bourbon graduation plans announced

The Bourbon School District has announced an updated plan for its 2020 graduation. The ceremony is now scheduled for Friday, June 26, and it will be outside.

The school district had previously scheduled graduation to be held in the BHS gym on Saturday, June 27, but it has now been moved up one day and it will be held on the grass inside the track at the high school. The change was made in order to have a greater capability to safely include more guests at the event, while adhering to social-distancing guidelines.
The graduation ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. and each graduate will be able to have six guests in attendance. Tickets for guests will be given to graduates during graduation practice, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, when there will also be a senior banquet starting at 5:45 p.m.
Only those with tickets will be allowed into the graduation ceremony. Other family members and friends will be able to view the graduation online. In the event of rain, graduation will be moved into the gym with seating limited to four guests per graduate.
