Emily Morrow (nee Spencer) of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, was born on May 4, 1926 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Arlie and Prudy (Neal) Spencer and passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the age of 94 years and 30 days.
Emily lived most of her life in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and worked at JC Penney before she became the church secretary for several years at Grand Avenue Baptist Church.
Emily was a christian and served faithfully as a Sunday School Superintendent and teacher of various classes at the Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She devoted much time volunteering in charity work.
Her hobbies were reading, sewing, crocheting, playing games on the computer, working crossword puzzles and Sudoku.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Prudy Spencer; and great grandchild, Jace Morgans.
She is survived by her sons, Joe (Lucy) Morrow of Cuba, Missouri, Jerry (Joanne) Morrow of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and John (Marlene) Morrow of Olathe, Kansas; brother, Monroe Spencer of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A graveside service and burial were held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Meramec Hills Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Jerry Baumann officiating.
