Jerry L. Lewis


    Jerry L. Lewis of Cuba, Missouri was born on March 21, 1939 in Jadwin, Missouri to Marion and Minnie (Palmer) Lewis and passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the age of 81 years.


    Jerry served his country in the United States Marine Corps for three years and then served the next 11 years in the United States Army. He retired as a Sgt. on January 24, 1969. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Expert Badge with Rifle Bar.
    After his retirement from the military, he returned home and worked many years as an auto mechanic and auto body repairman. He enjoyed going to swap meets, collecting antique European motorcycles and parts, guns and swords.
    He was Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Minnie Lewis; and one brother, Rudy Lewis.
    He is survived by his brother, Ronald Lewis of Cuba, Missouri; two nephews, Ronald Lewis Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri and Michael and wife Ashley DeFilippo of Madison, Illinois; one niece, Andrea Warden of DeSoto, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    In keeping with his wishes, Jerry was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
    Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
