Ina Adele Bouse


    Ina Adele Bouse (nee Pinnell) of Steelville, Missouri was born on Thursday, March 26, 1925 in Scotia, Missouri to James Lloyd and Grace Clementine (Coleman) Pinnell and passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the age of 95 years, 3 months and 7 days.


    Ina was the oldest girl and she had the part of taking care of her sisters after her mother passed away during childbirth when she was 15.  She was raised in a loving Christian home and accepted Christ as her Savior as a young adult.
    After graduating from Steelville High School, Ina moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she worked as a legal secretary.
    She married Lindell Howard Bouse on June 18, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas and enjoyed 54 years of marriage.
    After they moved back to Steelville, Missouri she worked at Hutson Department Store until she retired.
    She was a member of Steelville Presbyterian Church and was a part of the Mariners group.  Ina was a matriarch of knowledge on the family.  She kept records of everything she did and never wasted anything, she was very efficient and meticulous.
    She loved needlework and cross-stitching. In recent years, she enjoyed playing bingo. Even though she never had children of her own, she loved her nephews and nieces as if they were hers.  Ina was an amazing baker.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Grace Pinnell; husband, Lindell Bouse; step mother, Marie Pinnell; siblings, James Haskell Pinnell, Dorothy (Rev. Delmar) Hutson and Rosie Atchision; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Eugene Schmidt, Jewel Bryan, Lois Gerling, Don (Mary) Low, Wendell (Betty) Bryan, Bud Sappington, Jim Bryan, Parker “Bud” Ray and Otis Allison; nieces, Dana Schmidt and Fern Bryan;  and nephew, John Hudson.
    She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Schmidt of Steelville, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray Atchison of Steelville, Missouri, Lorraine Pinnell and Larry Gerling, both of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Velma Allison of Cuba, Missouri, Fairy Walker of Bourbon, Missouri, Shirlene Bryan of Ballwin, Missouri, Roy Bryan of O’Fallon, Missouri, Charles (Mary Ann) Bryan, Wanda Ray and Norma Sappington, all of St. Charles, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Linda Hudson, David (Colleen) Schmidt, Dale (Debbie) Schmidt, Spencer (Valerie) Hutson, Paul (Pam) Hutson, Jerry (Mary) Bryan, Terry (Barb) Bryan, Mike (Linda) Bryan, Doug (Tammy) Bryan, Nancy (Jody) Schatz, Kathy (Lee) Eikerman, Scott Bryan, Matthew Bryan, Becky (Jim) Budnick, Jeff (Sandy) Bryan, Skip Bryan, Bruce (Beverly) Gerling, Brian (Cindy) Gerling, Debbie (Tom) O’Conner, Kenyon (Sandi) Ray, James “Jimmy” (Barb) Ray, Lola Ray, Patty (Paul) Read, Kent (Amy) Sappington, Tracy Sappington, Mark (Robin) Gerling and Steven (Denise) Ray; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.  
    Funeral service immediately followed at 1 p.m. with Rev. Wendy Downing officiated.
    Burial was at the Liberty Cemetery in Steelville, Missouri.
    Arrangements are under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
