Donald Howard Perschbacher of Bourbon, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 2, 1937 to Howard and Barbara (Benskin) Perschbacher and passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the age of 83 years.
He grew up and attended school in Leasburg, Missouri. As a young man, he worked hauling ice from Cuba, Missouri to local areas. Throughout the next 44 years, Don worked for Ramsay Corp., then Dana and eventually, Sealed Power.
In 2000 he went to work at Bourbon High School as a custodian, retiring in 2012 at age 74.
Don married Charleen F. Roberts on July 20, 1963 in Marquand, Missouri.
Don greatest joys were his grandsons, Chase and Lane. He also enjoyed his farm and especially loved his cattle. Don loved playing softball in his younger days and through the years, he liked hunting rabbits and squirrels, and traveling and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Barbara Perschbacher; two brothers, Stanley and Roland; and two sisters, Lorraine Bryan and Jerry Britton.
He is survived by his wife, Charleen Perschbacher of Bourbon, Missouri; one son, Michael Perschbacher and wife, Raelea of Bourbon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Chase and Lane Perschbacher; two sisters, Shirley Black of Union, Missouri and Mickey Bartle of Plano, Illinois; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the Bourbon Community Center in Bourbon, Missouri.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the Bourbon Community Center in Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor Matt Dudley officiating.
Cremation arrangements have taken place.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan, Missouri.
