Judith Y. “Judy” Treece of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, March 6, 1939 at Cuba, Missouri to Jesse E. and Clara E. (nee Durbin) Thoma and passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the age of 81 years.
Judy married George William “Bill” Treece at Cuba in 1957.
Judy started her working career at Central Hardware, then Wallis and she retired from the real estate business. Judy worked for Century 21 for 20+ years as a real estate agent. She earned the Century 21 Top Salesperson on February 17, 1982.
She was a member of Trinity Chapel for many years before her health began to decline. Judy and Bill spent hours dancing together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Clara Thoma; husband, Bill Treece, two infant children, Jeffrey and Connie Treece; and brothers-in-law, Bob Ringeisen and Dale Treece.
She is survived by her children, Greg Treece of Cuba, Missouri and Nancy Treece of Cuba, Missouri; three grandsons, Zach Treece, Wade Treece and Ryan Bouse, all of Cuba, Missouri; sister, Mary and husband Ed Rutz of Cuba, Missouri; brother-in-law, Don and wife Mickey Treece of Cuba, Missouri; sister-in-law, Jane Ringeisen of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Jeff Snell officiating. Special recorded music was “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Amazing Grace” and “I’ll Fly Away.”
Interment and prayers followed at the Kinder Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
