Edna “Rovene” Lockhart

    Edna “Rovene” Lockhart of Leasburg, Missouri was born in Canton, Missouri on February 27, 1937 to Roland and Pauline (Kutcher) Pearl and passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the age of 83 years.

    She married Robert Harrison Lockhart Sr. on March 11, 1960 in Canton, Missouri. They moved to Leasburg, Missouri in 1962.
    Rovene was employed as an Inspector with Ramsey Corp. for many years, first in Sullivan, Missouri and later in Manchester, Missouri. She retired in 2007.
    Rovene was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg. She taught Sunday School for many years and was also a member of the local Community Club in Leasburg, Missouri.
    She enjoyed sewing and jewelry making. Rovene had a unique personality and a wonderful laugh. She could set you straight with just one look. She lived life to the fullest.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harrison Lockhart Sr.; one granddaughter, Andrea Lockhart; and two brothers, Jim and George Pearl.
    She is survived by her two children, Karen Shaw and husband George of Barnhart, Missouri and Robert “Bobby” Lockhart Jr. and wife Laura of Leasburg, Missouri; six grandchildren, Lisa Weeks and husband Jason of Union, Missouri, Daniel Thoms and wife Samantha of Berger, Missouri, Robert Lockhart III of Leasburg, Missouri, Amber Lange and husband Chip of Cuba, Missouri, Michael Lockhart of Leasburg, Missouri and Sarah Lockhart (Truman West) of Big Sky, Montana; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Pearl of Canton, Missouri and Jackie Pearl of Winfield, Lousiana; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation as held from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg, Missouri.
    Funeral services were held at noon on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg, Missouri with Pastor Terry King officiating.
    Interment followed in the Cross Roads Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri.
    Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan, Missouri.
