The Rolla Chamber is celebrating the following Ambassadors for achieving 1000 volunteer points: Kent Bagnall, Earl Bean, Marcia Burns, Caroleen Ferrell, Tonya Greven, Terry Harris, Jim Marcellus, Lonna Sowers, Jim Standfast and Wendy Young. This is a remarkable accomplishment as it takes a lot of work to reach 1000 points.

Such as volunteering at countless Chamber and Tourism events, serving on committees and taskforces, welcoming new members to the Chamber organization, recruiting new businesses to join the Chamber, helping the Chamber with all our efforts to enhance the quality of life of Rolla & Phelps County and so much more. The Rolla Chamber is a strong organization, but would not be what they are if were not for remarkable individuals such as these.  Why be a Volunteer? It’s not for money, it’s not for fame. It’s not for any personal gain, it’s just for love of fellowman. It’s just to send a helping hand, it’s just to give a tithe of self. That’s something you can’t by with wealth. It’s not medals won with pride, it’s for that feeling deep inside. It’s that reward down in your heart, it’s that feeling that you’ve been a part, of helping others far and near - that makes you be a volunteer!
