Ronald Lee Harris of Bourbon, Missouri was born in Leadwood, Missouri on October 19, 1932, to William John and Mary E. (Henderson) Harris and passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the age of 87 years.
He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956.
Ronald married Frances Ione Bishop on June 28, 1952.
Ronald lived in the Sullivan/Bourbon, Missouri area and worked as a custodian for the Bourbon High School. He retired from there after many years.
Some of his hobbies included hunting and fishing. Ronald loved the Lord and attended New Life of Hope Church in Sullivan, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances on February 3, 2006; two daughters, Debra Harris and Rebecca “Kim” Ledbetter; his parents, William and Mary Harris; one great grandson, Austin Lusty; three brothers: Charles, James (Jay) and Carl Harris; and two sisters, Opal Miller and Hilda Bradley.
He is survived by his son, Dennis “Michael” Pennington of Bourbon, Missouri; two granddaughters, Cynthia Mitchem and husband Mark of Bourbon, Missouri and Jane Lusty of Union, Missouri; two great grandchildren, April Ramsey of Bourbon, Missouri and Tanner Lusty of Union, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at noon on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Tina Lawrence officiating.
Burial followed in the I. O.O. F. Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
