Minnie Marie Sieber of St. James, Missouri was born February 28, 1934 in Hinkle, Missouri to Robert and Mildred Gross Fanger and passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the age of 86 years.
She married Jr. Ernest Gibson and to this union seven children were born, John Ernest Gibson, Bonnie Marie Francis, Martin Robert Gibson, Ronnie Gibson, Howard Mark Gibson, Orville Ernest Gibson and Jay Alfred Gibson. She married Ernest Lacy and to this union one son was born, Calvin Lacy. Her longtime companion and friend, Andy Adams, who preceded in death.
On February 28, 2013 she married Ivan Sieber.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Fanger; three sons, infant son Ronnie Gibson, Calvin Lacy and Orville Gibson; brother, Everett Fanger; sister, Virginia Saroch; and son-in-law, Jim Francis.
She is survived by her husband, Ivan of the home; children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Minnie worked at several restaurants in the surrounding areas including the Elm Restaurant, the Crossroads, and others in Newburg, Missouri. She worked at the McFarland Nursing Home.
She also worked at Ruth Durrett’s residential home as a nurse’s aide. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She made hats for the schools and baby sets and afghans for family and friends. She loved to fish. She spent many hours cooking and canning; blackberry dumplings was just one of her specialties.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Ralph Green and Brad Demrick officiating.
Pallbearers were Richard Grate, Bill Grate, Cannon Williams, Adam Eubanks, Ray Green, Bret Jennings and Vince Rawlings.
Interment was at the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Missouri.
