Shirley Jean Dunne of Sullivan, Missouri was born in Sullivan, Missouri on April 9, 1936 to Marshall and Rose (Payne) Robertson and passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at the age of 84 years.
She attended and graduated from Sullivan High School.
Shirley married William Anthony Dunne on February 28, 1959.
Shirley loved her career in the banking industry for 23 plus years. During the 23 years she made many friends, as well as developed a strong work ethic going above and beyond the call of duty. Her favorite thing to do was dance. She and her late brother Vernon sure could “cut-a-rug” doing the jitterbug. Playing the slot machines at the casino was also a favorite, she absolutely loved the sound of the coins dropping and pulling the handle.
Shirley was never one to complain. Her day always started with a cup of coffee and a twinkie and ended with Columbo tv show and was always without a doubt a great day in the neighborhood.
Shirley was always ready to help others and the world was right when she blessed it with her smile.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Dunne; parents, Marshall and Rose Robertson; and four brothers, Irvin, Curtis, Vernon and David.
She is survived by her three children, William Dunne Jr. and spouse Sharon of Sullivan, Missouri, Dale Dunne and spouse Glenn Mushnick of Northbridge, Massachusetts and Brenda Kleinheider and spouse Randy of Washington, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Derek Dunne and spouse Lindsey, Tiffany Emmons and spouse Mitch, Josh Dunne and spouse Brittany, Allitta Williams and significant other Pete Clark, Sydney Kleinheider, Martina Kleinheider and Alex Kleinheider and spouse Kelsey; 11 great grandchildren, Briley, Briella, Hailee, Ellie, Tucker, Elinn, Max, Ben, Jacob, Skye and Jayden; one sister-in-law, Carol Robertson of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
