Marcella Patchell was born July 22, 1924 in Perintown, Ohio to Lewis and Nelle Foster Bach and passed away Tuesday morning October 6, 2020 at the age of 96 years.
On January 1, 1946 she married Russell Patchell.
She was very active in her home church of Perintown, Ohio United Methodist Church where she was a choir director and played the piano and the organ. Her musical talents were well known.
She was a member of the Cincinnati Dulcimer Society and she played at many events in her community and especially at home.
Marcella was a member of the Homemakers Club and the Mothers Singers. She loved to can produce and take to the county fair along with her famous pies where she won many blue ribbons for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Patchell on May 2, 1996; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Edwin Bach and wife Janie and Robert Bach and wife Ida Mae.
She is survived by her sons, Kenny Patchell and wife Betty and Jim Patchell and wife Carrie, all of Batavia, Ohio; daughters, Donna Deering and husband Jack of Peyton, Colorado and Carol Davis and husband Jeff of St. James, Missouri; one brother, Roger Bach and wife Anna of Batavia, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Lori Ann, Kimberly Nicole, Justin Grizzly, Erin Janelle, Cody Janel, Devin Lee, Michelle Elizabeth and Garett James; and 12 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at the family plot at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Milford, Ohio with Scott John of Broadway Baptist Church of St. James, Missouri officiating.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Local arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with graveside services under the direction of the Evans Funeral Home of Milford, Ohio.
