Vincent Lee Anderson


    Vincent Lee Anderson of St. James, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 31, 1966 to Gary and Linda (Alexander) Anderson and passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 25 days.


    After Vincent graduated from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He spent nine years in the  United States Naval Construction Battalions, better known as the Navy Seabees. He traveled all over the world and spent some time in Kuwait, Turkey and Southeast Asia, returning home after an accident in which he broke his back.
    He married Wilma Casto on July 10, 1997.
    Vincent loved to cook and would make wonderful meals for his family and share with others that were homebound or not feeling well.
    He was a longtime member of the St. James V.F.W. and enjoyed visiting with veterans at the Veterans Home. When he could he would take them fishing. He loved to fish and hunt and was an avid reader. He really enjoyed books about the Military, old westerns and non-fiction.
    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roscoe and Velma Anderson and William and Doris Josephine Wilson Alexander.
    He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Wilma Anderson of St. James, Missouri; children, Amanda Anderson and Wyatt Anderson of St. James, Missouri; parents, Gary and Linda Anderson of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Because of the trying times with COVID-19, the family is having all services private.
