Jerry Don Hatch of Bourbon, Missouri, was born October 26, 1944 in Kennett, Missouri to Everett and Dorothy (Kirby) Hatch and passed away on October 31, 2020 at the age of 76 years.
He grew up and attended school in Saint Louis, Missouri and went to work as a young man doing various jobs.
Jerry married Norma Kee on December 19, 1966. They called House Springs, Missouri home for many years until Norma’s passing in 1999. Jerry then moved to Bourbon, Missouri to make his final home.
He was known for his ability to fix anything. For some time Jerry worked as a sewing machine repairman for Singer Sewing Machines. He then drove a fuel truck for many years until his retirement.
Jerry enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing. He also had a love for music and playing the guitar. He enjoyed restoring and working on old cars and motorcycles and was an animal lover of all kinds.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Dorothy Hatch; wife, Norma; brother, Ray Hatch; and three sisters, Shirley Robertson, Virginia Dudley and Diane Garner.
He is survived by a son, John DeWitt of Mountain Grove, Missouri; one sister, Donita Krueger and husband Ivan of Sullivan, Missouri; granddaughter, Jenna DeWitt of St. Louis, Missouri; his beloved dogs, Buster and Dodo; other relatives and friends.
