Wilma Pauline Malone of St. James, Missouri as born in DeCamp, Missouri on March 19, 1921 to Squire Abram and Martha (Lowe) Adams and passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the age of 99 years.
She married Herman Malone on September 26, 1942.
Wilma was a bookkeeper at J.C. Penny’s in St. Louis, Missouri for many years.
She was a charter member of the First Assembly of God Church in St. James, Missouri and was very active in the Church until her health no longer permitted it.
She really enjoyed being around people. After her retirement from Penny’s she did volunteer work at both the St. James Care Center and The Phelps County Medical Center.
Wilma enjoyed Cardinal baseball and getting her hair done on Fridays at the local beauty shop. It was about getting her hair done and finding out what was going on around town.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Squire and Martha Adams; her husband, Herman in 2003; and siblings, Austin and Hazel.
She is survived by her children, Terry Malone and wife Nancy of Las Vegas, Nevada and Paula Young and husband Kevin of Detour Village, Michigan; grandchildren, Mike (Jodi) Fitzgerald, Kelly (John) Kirby, Johnny (Megan) Simmons and Stefanie (Stephen) Wein; great grandchildren, Mason and Molly Fitzgerald, Madeline Kirby, Arianna Simmons and Xander and Olyvia Wein; Maya, James, and Maisie Simmons; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held graveside at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the St. James Cemetery with Reverend Mick Thrasher officiating.
