Dillion Lee McGowan


    Dillion Lee McGowan of St. James, Missouri was born in Rolla, Missouri on August 7, 1991 to Johnny Sr.  and Tabatha (Swyers) McGowan and passed away October 31, 2020 at the age of 29 years.


    Dillion attended both  St. James High  and Viburnum High School where he excelled at track.
    When he was younger he enjoyed playing baseball on the city league. He found an appreciation for golf, pool and darts in the last few years. Dillion enjoyed music of all genres and was known to be somewhat of a ladies man. He was very social.
    He worked for his uncle Jeff Swyers at Meramec Siding and Windows, he was very close to Jeff, whom he thought of as a father figure. He also worked with Mike Spain at Spain Lawn Care in Cuba, Missouri.
    He is survived by his mother, Tabatha Brooks of Rolla, Missouri; brothers, Johnny McGowan Jr., Gage McGowan and West McGowan; sister, Rexanna Smith and husband Paul; niece, Maria Halbrook; nephews, Thomas Halbrook, Xaiver Halbrook and Bo Gene Halbrook; other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny G. McGowan; sister, Michelle McGowan; grandparents, Lloyd and Reia Swyers; and aunt, Kimberely Benedick.
    Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri.
