Nadene Hogue was born July 8, 1940 in Salem, Missouri to Alvah Homer and Millie Madeline (Litty) Carr and passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the age of 80 years.
She married Harold Gene Hogue on August 30,1958 and they moved from Cook Station, Missouri to St. Louis, Missouri.
Nadene spent over 40 years in a career she loved at Martiz, working her way from the mailroom to senior leadership and paving the way for countless female leaders behind her. After retirement, she took careful care of Gene as he was fighting a long battle with cancer and raised her great granddaughter, Emilie Marlene Hogue.
She enjoyed quilting and was well known for her beautiful and intricate designs, many of which she gifted to friends and family. She was also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gene Hogue; son, Rickey G. Hogue; grandson, Daniel P. Hogue; parents, Alvah Homer and Millie Madeline Carr; sisters, Lois Ann Missey, Judy Worley and Christine Grubaugh; brother, Thomas E. Carr; brothers-in-law, E. Wayne Hogue, William Monroe Hogue, Gerald Eacker and Thomas Buckingham.
She is survived by her son, Allen Wayne (Tammy) Hogue; daughter, Lisa Kaye Ghattas; grandchildren, Gary Wayne Hogue, Andrew Ghattas and Anthony Ghattas; Ahbier (Joe) FaQuin, Muna (Curt) Mercer, and Kayla (Larry) Price; great grandchildren, Callahan Michael Mercer and Emilie Marlene Hogue;, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 6 p.m. with Rev. Spencer Hutson officiating.
The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
