Barbara S. King

Barbara S. (Bullock) King was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 9, 1948 to Hursel and Elsie (Hayes) Bullock and passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the age of 72 years.

On October 7, 1967 she married Donnie King in Vienna, Missouri.
Barb worked for many years at the St. James Leader Journal newspaper office until she joyously became a full-time grandma.
She was an active member of Ft. Wyman Baptist Church in Rolla, Missouri where she frequently taught Sunday school, helped coordinate VBS, served on committees, won many church “cookoffs” and helped whenever she was needed. She lived her life in service to the Lord. She was a voracious reader and stray cat rescuer. Her care and concern for others was evident on a daily basis.
Her love never shone brighter however than when she spoke of and was in the presence of her grandchildren, Megan and Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donnie; son, Timothy; brother, Jim; sister-in-law, Anna Bullock; sisters, Helen and Martha Mae; and brothers-in-law, Harold Waldron and Larry Garner.
She is survived by her sons, Terry and Jason; daughter-in-law, Ginger; granddaughter, Megan (Jordan); grandson, Daniel; great granddaughter, Mackinley; sisters, Betty (Walter) Dickens; brother, Bill (Helen) Bullock; other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held as soon as family and friends can safely gather together again.
Private graveside services and interment were at the Wishon Cemetery in St. James, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of Rolla Cremation and Memorial in Rolla, Missouri.
