Warren C. Gurley of Leasburg, Missouri was born on Monday, October 29, 1945 in Golden, Colorado to Ira William and Hallie “Evelyn” Licklider Gurley and passed away at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 26 days.
Warren graduated from Lynwood High School in Lynwood, California and then attended Compton Community College. He worked in electronics for many years and then after he moved to Missouri he worked at McDonald’s in St. James, Missouri where he also retired.
Warren accepted the Lord early in life and attended First Baptist Church of Leasburg, Missouri. Warren was a people person. He talked to people all over the world on his CB handheld radio and was also a member of the local HAM Radio Club. Warren also loved trains, which he collected models and enjoyed living by the railroad tracks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Evelyn Gurley; brother, R. Keith Gurley; and niece, Sonja Starkey.
He is survived by his sisters, LaDonna Perry of Burlington, Kentucky and Cynthia (Paul) Sumner of Newport Beach, California; sister-in-law, Susanne Gurley of Scott, Louisiana; companion, Wanda Heads of Leasburg, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Licklider Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri with Bro. Paul Ransom officiating.
