Appalled at ignorance

Regarding the content of most of the recent letters to the editor that (were) chose(n) to print, I can only say that I am appalled at the depth and volume of ignorance, disinformation and cult-like thinking that is being broadcast.

These printed assaults cannot be called merely “opinion.” They are dangerous, fear-filled, blatant lies, not deserving of consideration.
Many of us have found it useless to try to argue with this type of spewing of nationalistic fanaticism—not only useless but often dangerous.
So I won’t attempt to address specific points here. I will just express my profound gratitude that the recent, attempted, violent over-throw of our government has—so far—failed. And my hope that sanity, truth and compassion will prevail through the efforts of good people.
