Joseph Raymond Stough of Chillicothe, Missouri was born on December 29, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles L. and Opal Elizabeth (Burroughs) Stough and passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at the age of 88 years.
He was a 1950 graduate of Steelville High School, Steelville, Missouri.
Joseph served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955, during the Korean War.
He married Joan Rey McDowell on January 15, 1956 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Joseph worked as a farmer. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Chillicothe, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Opal Stough; and wife, Joan Stough on May 7, 2010.
He is survived by one son, Mike Stough of Olathe, Kansas; two daughters, Julie Resor and husband Mike of Chillicothe, Missouri and Janet Kinsella and husband Larry of Grant City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Robert Stough, Kathleen Stough, Joe Resor, Maggie Resor, Dylan Kinsella, and Drake Kinsella; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri.
Private family services was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February, 10, 2021 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri.
Burial was at the Edgewood Cemetery in Chillicothe, Missouri.
