Lola Virginia Mesko


    Lola Virginia Mesko of Rolla, Missouri was born on December 31, 1927 in Lecoma, Missouri to Earnest and Lillie (Anderson) Braidlow and passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at the age of 93 years.


    On November 18, 1961 she married Emil P. Mesko Jr.
    Almost every Kroger shopper was greeted by her. She was a hard worker and very proud of her long career.
    She went to the Dollar General at the first of every month to get cards for whomever’s birthday was that month.
    She was an avid Wheel of Fortune watcher and huge Cardinal fan, (so much so she overlooked Molina’s tattoos), a weekly trip to the beauty shop with the same hairstyle, a clean home, church on Sunday and bowling twice a week.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Lillie Braidlow; husband, Emil P. Mesko Jr. on December 26, 1989; daughter, Mary Virginia “Ginny” Beasley; three sons-in-law, Kyle Kurt Hansel, Mendall Dawayne Manuel and Karl Leo Neumann; three sisters, Mary Lou Case, Marie Miller and Sherry Ann Cooley; two brothers, Howard Braidlow and Lee Braidlow; and a sister-in-law, Lois Braidlow.
    She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Kay Neumann of Cypress, Texas, Judith Lynn Wordleman and husband Jack of Jamestown, Missouri, Karen Sue Clancy and husband Les of St. James, Missouri and Judith Ann Morawski and husband George of Springfield, Missouri; son-in-law, Michael Beasley of St. James, Missouri; one brother, Loyde Braidlow of Rolla, Missouri; sister, Jeanne Williams Stone; two sisters-in-law, Betty Braidlow and Wanda Braidlow; 17 grandchildren, Tracy (Scott) Rosenow of St. James, Missouri, Tonya (Earl) Lewis of Rolla, Missouri, Jason (Lora) Neumann of Cypress, Texas, S. Nicholle (Carl) Middleman of St. Louis, Missouri, Kate Hansel of Baltimore, Maryland, Crystal (Travis) Lynch of Rolla, Missouri, Carmen Turner of Battlefield, Missouri, Paul (Kati) Clancy of Bruner, Missouri, Wesley (Esther) Clancy of Salem, Missouri, Les Jr. (Susan) Clancy of St. James, Missouri, Jennie (Stewart) Pope of St. James, Missouri, Robin (Kevin) Ahart of St. James, Missouri, Kellie (Dave) Barnett of St. James, Missouri, Jennifer (Shannon) McCallon of Pitkin, Louisana, Mendall Dawayne (Mandy) Manuel Jr. of Pitkin, Louisana, Kody Wordelman of Jamestown, Missouri and Matthew Wordelman of Columbia, Missouri; numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri.
    Private funeral service for family only was held.
    Interment was in the Anutt Cemetery.
