James “Russ” Deabler


    James Russell “Russ” Deabler of Ogallala, Nebraska and formerly of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Thursday, November 12, 1970 in Normandy, Missouri and passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the age of 50 years.


    Russ was a truck driver for FedEx and a singer, songwriter and musician for Unfulfilled Fate. He loved anything that had to do with Harry Potter and riding motorcycles.
    He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Deabler; and step father, Arthur “Art” Compton.
    He is survived by his wife, Katrina (Logan) Deabler of the home; three children, Danielle Ford of Nashville, Tennessee, Aaron Deabler of Rolla, Missouri and Gabrielle Deabler of Bloomington, Indiana; parents, Janet (Moffett) Compton of Cuba, Missouri and James Russell and wife Sharon Deabler of Tangerine, Florida; one sister, Lori Campisi of Pevely, Missouri; two nieces, Sophia Campisi and husband Paul Pierce and Alex Campisi and fiancé Max Mahaney; one nephew, Gianni Campisi; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Jonathan Logan officiating.
    Interment followed at the New Hope Cemetery in Salem, Missouri.
