The Gasconade Valley Conference Art Show features artwork created by students from six area high schools. It will be on display in Steelville at Gallery Zeke in April.
The annual competition includes art from students in Steelville, Cuba, Viburnum, Vienna, Belle, and Bourbon. Judging will occur on Thursday, April 1, and the show will then be available for viewing by the public. The Gallery will be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday, April 24. There will be a reception open to the public on the 24th from 1 to 4 p.m.
The student artwork is divided into categories by medium (watercolor, pencil, etc.) and prizes are awarded for first, second and third place in each category with a Best in Show for the piece voted best from any category. Each school is allowed 50 entries so there is the opportunity for a wide variety of art for all to see and enjoy.
Gallery Zeke is located at 106 East Main Street in Steelville.
