Richard Louis “Dick” Krulik


    Richard Louis “Dick” Krulik of Cuba, Missouri was born on Sunday, October 23, 1932 in Cuba, Missouri to Louis E. and Thelma R. (Spencer) Krulik and passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the age of 88 years.


    Dick marriedRuthene Martin December 27, 1953 in Ferguson, Missouri.
    Dick honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 27 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a pilot, having flown 18 different aircraft in his lifetime. He obtained his Masters Degree from the University of Southern California.
    After his military career Dick and Ruthene moved back home to Cuba, Missouri where he owned several different businesses and was the Mayor of the City of Cuba from 1982-1984. He was a longtime member of the Cuba United Methodist Church.
    Dick enjoyed flying, the town of Cuba, Missouri, St. Louis Cardinals, traveling and spending the winters in Texas.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Thelma Krulik; wife, Ruthene) Krulik; two brothers, Donald J. Krulik and Robert McFarland; one brother-in-law, Ivan and wife Mary Martin; and one sister-in-law, Donna Murray.
    He is survived by his children, Pamela and husband Andrew Sadowski of Orlando, Florida, Patrice “Patti” and husband Mark Skjerve of Tampa, Florida and Keith and wife Lana of Indianapolis, Indiana; five grandchildren, Daryn Krulik of St. Louis, Missouri, Alison Meadors of Indianapolis, Christine Skjerve and Emily Skjerve, both of Tampa and Carter Sadowski of Orlando; four great grandchildren, Chelsie and Andrew Schlereth, Kourtney Krulik, Madelyn and Kyle Meadors; one brother-in-law, Edgar and wife Linda Martin of Hayden, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Joan Hadley of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Cuba United Methodist Church with Pastor Kurt Schuermann officiating.
    Interment with military honors followed at the Kinder Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
