Thelma Ruth Jost of Owensville, Missouri was born on Sunday, July 21, 1946 in Bourbon, Missouri to Allen and Elizabeth (Smith) Rogers and passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 74 years.
Ruth married William “Bill” Jost on September 29, 1962 in Owensville, Missouri.
Ruth worked as a cosmetologist for many years, having served clients in House Springs, Missouri and Newark, Delaware. She enjoyed crocheting, flower arranging, baking cakes, creating photo albums, picking crabs and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Elizabeth Rogers; husband, William “Bill” Jost; two brothers, Chester and wife Joy Rogers and Jack Rogers; three sisters, Martha and husband Clifford Wilcox, Sue Ellis and Bessie Rogers; two brothers-in-law, John Akers and Jerry Hudson; and one son-in-law, Anthony Paul Rynkiewicz.
She is survived by three children, Machelle Rynkiewicz of Owensville, Missouri, Regina Jost of Owensville, Missouri and Scott Jost of Lewes, Delaware; three grandchildren, Melanie McGaha, Aahron Jost and Abigail Rynkiewicz; two great grandchildren, Evan Sanders and Landyn Hunter; siblings, Esther Akers of Sullivan, Missouri, Mary Jane Hudson of Jefferson City, Missouri and Harold Rogers of Owensville, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Larry Ellis of Belle, Missouri; other relaties and friends.
Visitation was held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Ben Kingston officiating.
Interment followed at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
