Shirley Marie Maier of Boonville, Missouri (formerly of Steelville, Missouri) was born March 13, 1942 to Esco and Laura (Medley) Coplin and passed away Thursday April 22, 2021 at the age of 79 years.
Shirley married Arthur Maier Jr. on May 19, 1966 in Bonne Terre.
Shirley spent the majority of her career working for Nordyne in Boonville, retiring after 25+ years of service.
Shirley was an avid bowler for many years. She bowled for the Nordyne and Family Shoe Store bowling leagues. Throughout the years, she had received many plaques and trophies for her achievements.
Shirley enjoyed retail therapy of the thrifty kind, she loved to go to garage sales and antique stores. Shirley enjoyed socializing with friends over coffee at the local diners. Shirley had four canine companions that she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Esco and Laura Coplin; husband, Arthur in December 2009; infant brother, Lawrence Coplin; and sisters, Seline Britton and Jeneva Pyatt.
She is survived by her sons, John (Rebecca) Maier of Rocheport, Missouri and Mark (Kathleen) Maier of Boonville, Missouri; brothers, Douglas and William Coplin; sisters, Bonnie Hollingshead and Connie Mercer; grandchildren Logan Welch, Collin, Kayla, Joshua, and Ruby Maier; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, Missouri.
Funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, Missouri with Rev. Charles Cook officiating.
Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
