A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Lucky Clover Lakeside River Resort with the Steelville Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, April 27.
The resort, located at 69 Lucky Clover Road in Steelville, is now owned by Larry and Tina Chilton. The resort sits in a beautiful, secluded valley on the upper Meramec River. Campsites are located on the banks of two large fishing lakes. Camping and floating is available on the Meramec River, and guests can choose a raft, kayak or a canoe. The Chilton family wanted to bring Lucky Clover to life and to let families from all over come enjoy quality time together. Family is important to them and they want to make it a family destination. In the future, they hope to expand the resort by adding cabins, boat docks, beaches and more. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Contact them by phone at 573-775-2419, check out their website at luckyclovercampground.com, or find them on Facebook at Lucky Clover River Resort.
