Sylvia Ann Condon

Sylvia learned from her parents the beautiful gospel of Jesus Christ.
Elementary and high school years for Sylvia were filled with many hours of practicing and performing clarinet and piano music, leading Sullivan High School’s Marching Band as Majorette, and preparing, serving and helping clean up home cooked meals at her parents’ restaurant in “Downtown Sullivan.”
Sylvia married John Edward Condon on June 12, 1960 at Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri.
They soon moved to Kansas City, where Sylvia worked as a nurse. Some years later, Ferguson, Missouri, became their home. Sylvia also ministered to many through her nursing care of infants on the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Sylvia and Ed loved to travel.
Sylvia and her husband, Ed, had resided in Bourbon, Missouri for nearly 25 years.
Garden tours of Sylvia’s many flowers, vegetables, and fruits were another fun excursion many visitors eagerly anticipated, and about which, were never disappointed.
Many sunny days found Sue, and/or Sylvia’s grandchildren, buckets in hand and sunhats atop heads, joining in the fun of strawberry picking.
Sylvia often expressed her wonder in the Lord’s gift of love, and of His unfathomable graciousness in blessing all of us who have become His children through faith in Jesus Christ.
