Chamber golf tournament accepting teams and sponsors

    The St. James Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its first annual golf tournament on July 9 and the Chamber is now accepting teams and sponsors. This event will be limited to the first 20 teams, so interested teams should sign up soon.


    The cost is $300 per team or $100 per individual. Payment can be made in advance on the registration form, can be paid at the Tourist Information Center (TIC), by mailing a check to the TIC at 134 State Highway B, St. James, Missouri, 65559, or upon arrival. Golf cart accommodations can also be made on the registration form.
    This event will be a three-person scramble tournament with prizes for Hole in One, Closest to the Pin, a Longest Drive competition, and a Longest Putt prize. Lunch will be provided.
    St. James Golf Club will be the site of the tournament, located at 11780 Mo-68 south of St. James. Check-ins for the event will from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
    Sponsors are also still available for those wanting to support the fundraiser. Ace sponsorships of $500 includes a team entry and signage, or $100 hole donations are also being accepted.
