Mildred I. Pennock of East Peoria, Illinois was born December 20, 1927 in Berryman, Missouri to Alfred and Nettie (Harper) Garrison and passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the age of 93 years.
She married Paul Pennock on September 5, 1947 in Steelville, Missouri.
A homemaker, Mildred enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She also enjoyed family holiday gatherings, where her dinner rolls or “raisened up biscuits” were always a treat.
Mildred was a member of Oak Grove Bible Church in Groveland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Nettie Garrison; one son, Dale Pennock; three sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Paul; two daughters, Doris Lunsford of East Peoria, Illinois and Sharon Conaway of Marquette Heights, Illinois; two sons, Boyd (Becky) Pennock of Creve Coeur, Illinois and Troy (Julie) Pennock of Tiskilwa, Illinois; six grandchildren, Shawn Conaway, Heather (Brad) Blumenstock, Vincent, Natalie, Andrew and Katie Pennock; three great grandchildren, Jake and Paeton Conaway and Cooper Pennock; one sister, Norma Fowler of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur, Illinois.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur, Illinois with Pastor Cliff Elliott Jr. officiating.
Visitation was also held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Lasting Hope Assembly of God Church in Bourbon, Missouri.
Funeral services were also held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Lasting Hope Assembly of God Church in Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor Derik Ruble officiating.
Burial was at the Bourbon Cemetery.
