Betty Maxine Walls

    Betty Maxine Walls of Leasburg, Missouri was born on Thursday, April 30, 1936 in Bunker, Missouri to Thiller and Martha (Watson) Terrill and passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the age of 85 years.

    Betty married Willard Walls on December 28, 1956.
    Betty’s working career started in 1954 at a chicken farm and she would later work for and retire from Independent Stave Mill Company in Cuba, Missouri.
    Although Betty worked outside the home, she was a homemaker at heart. She loved to cook and use the garden harvest she had canned. She had a green thumb and was able to grow beautiful flowers and spent many wonderful hours tending to her flower garden. When the chores were done, she loved to crochet, work on puzzle books or join the family in a game of aggravation or a round of cards.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Thiller and Martha Terrill; one sister, Shirley Burrus; great great granddaughter, Rylee McClain; one sister-in-law, Melba Terrill; and three brothers-in-law, Willard Burrus, Carl Vance and Len Williams.
    She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Willard Walls of the home; six children, Darlene and husband Dean Clawson of Leasburg, Missouri, Rita and husband Ron Colter of New Haven, Missouri, Melody and husband Stan Shoemaker of Owensville, Missouri, Diane Sappington of Leasburg, Missouri, Sheila and husband Gary Land of Leasburg, Missouri and Terry Walls of Bourbon, Missouri; nine brothers and sisters, Joy Terrill of Salem, Missouri, Claudine Vance of Salem, Missouri, Wanda Williams of Bunker, Missouri, Millie and husband Den Williams of Bunker, Missouri, Dwain and wife Dorothy Terrill of Bunker, Missouri, Anna and husband Jim Misuraco of Bunker, Missouri, Sudie and husband Henry Williams of Edgar Springs, Missouri, Kathy and husband Rick Damouth of Leasburg, Missouri and Jay and wife Connie Terrill of Bunker, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 11 a.m.  on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Dan Morrison officiating.
    Interment followed at the Lea Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri.
