Sheila Marie Gravett of Republic, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, Missouri, was born on March 14, 1970 to Johnnie and Donna (Hayes) Eye in Potosi, Missouri and passed away on June 10, 2021 at the age of 51 years, 2 months and 27 days.
She graduated from Viburnum High School in 1988 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and then a Master of Art in Teaching and then a second, a Master of Art in Counseling.
Shelia began her career in the Crawford County R-2 School District in Cuba, Missouri as a teacher and then went on to social work and finally as a counselor.
She relocated to Republic, Misouri and on June 29, 2014, she married Aaron Gravett and was known as “My Lady” from that day forward.
Sheila was a Middle School Guidance Counselor with the Monett Public School System for the past seven years.
Sheila and Aaron co-founded an independent online and speaking ministry “Faith to Walk Ministries.” She loved motivational public speaking and ministering to others. Sheila has also authored two book publications, “Just as I Am, learning to live complete when you’re incomplete” and a devotional, “You Are.” Sheila’s life work was helping others, recently completing the final steps in her pursuit to opening her own independent counseling business, Authentic Counseling.
When she was not helping others, or ministering, Sheila loved to ride her Harley Davidson motorcycle on long winding roads, she also had a passion for animals and helping to rescue them. He newest love was her five-month-old Golden Retriever, named Abe.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna.
She is survived by her husband, Aaron Gravett; children, Blake Eye and Alexa Rogers; step children, Jacob Gravett, Joshua Gravett and Sarah Gravett; siblings, Tracy Montgomery and husband Mike, Matthews Eye and wife Catherine and Kimberly Eye; father, Johnnie Eye and wife Merlelee; other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Life 360 Church in Republic, Missouri and at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Anointed Faith Tabernacle in Cuba, Missouri.
