Carmal Lue Nappier of St. James, Missouri was born on August 2, 1940 in St. James, Missouri to William and Bertha Bacon Kolb and passed away on August 27, 2021 at the age of 81 years.
She loved cardinals whether it was the ones she watched out her window or the ones playing on television. She enjoyed feeding all kinds of animals- birds, dogs, cats, even possums.
She worked at the Phelps County Hospital for 30 years in the dietary department. She was a wonderful cook and because of her excellent culinary skills, the hospital started having her cater meals for the doctors. She won Employee of the Year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha; brother, Donald Kolb; and three sisters, Anna Mae Webster, Wanda Pankey and Lula Crider.
She is survived by her sons, Ron Nappier of St. James Missouri and Roger Nappier and wife Angie of St. James, Missouri; daughter, Rhonda Nappier of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Bonnie Hahn of St. James, Missouri; grandchildren, Justin Shelden of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kyler Nappier of Columbia, Missouri, Max and Drew Nappier of St. James, Missouri, Keith Ragan of Jefferson City, Missouri and Hanna Sherfy of St. James, Missouri; great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jarrod Shelden of California; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday September 2, 2021 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Jamie Jones officiating.
Pallbearers were Justin Shelden, Keith Ragan, Drew Nappier, Kyler Nappier, Bryan Hahn and Max Nappier.
Interment was in the St. James Cemetery.
