Erma Lucille Adam of St. James, Missouri was born in Dent County, Missouri on February 22, 1927 to Ralph and Dollie Tinsley and passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the age of 94 years.
Her father died when she was 14.
Her mother remarried Ferdinand Haas.
Erma graduated from Rolla High School and attended teacher college for one year before teaching in a country school.
After World War II she married Edwin Sachs on April 27, 1947.
Erma was a farm wife and mother before working outside the home at First State Bank in Rolla.
After Edwin’s death on February 28, 1986 Erma married Frank Adam on November 2, 1991.
Before his death on January 31, 2015 she and Frank enjoyed many days as snowbirds in Texas. Erma enjoyed sewing, quilting, puzzles and card games.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Tinsley and Dollie Haas; step father, Ferdinand Haas; husbands, Edwin Sachs and Frank Adam; sisters, Lois Haas and Louise Fink; and step sons, Glenn Adam Sr. and Frank Adam Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Rita (Leonard) Tiedt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; son, Alan (Lisa) Sachs of St. James, Missouri; step daughters, Jan (Tom) O’Hanlon, Linda Adam and Faye (Terri) Adam; sisters, Eva Fink and Linda Light; brother, Jerry (Elaine) Haas; grandchildren, Melissa (Matthew) Carstens, Noelle (Andy) Madden, Erin (Brad) Crawford, Maurine Huber and John (Kate) Sachs; 10 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rolla, Missouri.
Funeral was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rolla, Missouri.
Burial was at the Peace Lutheran Church in Elk Prairie, Missouri.
