Billie “Jean” Brooks

    Billie “Jean” (nee Aden) Brooks of Steelville, Missouri was born on Monday, September 2, 1940 in Datto, Arkansas to William “Bill” and Viola Kimble Aden and passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the age of 81 years and 19 days.

    Jean attended school in Reyno, Arkansas.  She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at a young age.
    She married Charles “Charlie” Thomas Brooks on June 1, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri.
    She watched all of her grandchildren, even additional kids that she thought of as her own.  She was a member of “Anglers of Missouri” in Union, Missouri.  Jean enjoyed playing games and gambling.
    She enjoyed going out to dinner on Friday nights, especially at the Sirloin Stockade.  She enjoyed her flowers, the outdoors and swimming.  She loved having family get-togethers, barbeques and fish fries.
    Jean loved the beach and cats, especially Fluffer and Babe.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Viola Aden; parents-in-law, Dannie and Mary Brooks; husband, Charlie Brooks; son, Tom Brooks Sr.; brothers, Leo Aden and Darrel Aden; sisters-in-law, Chris Aden, Doris Coleman and Janet Brooks; brothers-in-law, Dale Brooks, Sam (Melody) Brooks and Chester “Chet” (Dorothy) Brooks; and two great grandchildren, Skyler Glore and Sadie Summers.
    She is survived by her children, Ricky (Anita) Brooks of Cuba, Missouri, Danny (Lisa) Brooks of Steelville, Missouri and Kenny Brooks formerly of St. James, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Brenda Brooks of Steelville, Missouri; brothers, Ted Aden of Sullivan, Missouri and Jackie (Nancy) Aden of Fenton, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann (Milton) Dornseif of Arnold, Missouri, Rita Mahurin of West Plains, Missouri and Nettie Aden of Illinois; brothers-in-law, Joe Brooks of St. Charles, Missouri and Leonard Coleman of Wright City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Tommy (Heidi) Brooks of San Diego, California, Becky (Kerry Jr. “Spank) Summers of Steelville, Missouri, Madison (Beth) Brooks of Rolla, Missouri, Ryan Brooks of St. Marys, Georgia, Robbie Brooks (companion Miranda), Brad (Beth) Brooks, all of Steelville, Missouri, Jessica (Levi) Marks of Vilseck, Germany and Jennifer (Kevin) Glore of Steelville, Missouri; 23 great grandchildren, Kensi Brooks, Madison, Bryer, Hunter and Paislee Summers, Dakota, Brett, Mackentzie and Hailie Brooks, Kaleb Zmich, Kaylee, Peyton, Jaxson, Kelcee and Ryker Brooks, Cash and Charlie Brooks, Lyric, Liberty and Emelia Glore, Luke, Adam and Jude Marks; two great great grandchildren, Haylee and Peyton Warren; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 11 a.m.-1p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021 with Rev. Alan Miles officiating and live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, MO’s Facebook page.
    The family chose cremation as her final disposition.  
    Pallbearers were Robbie Brooks, Brad Brooks, Ryan Brooks, Kerry “Spank” Summers Jr., Hunter Summers and Bryer Summers.
