Mary Agnes Brown


    Mary Agnes Brown (nee Mull) of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, October 30, 1945, in Granite City, Illinois to Charles Thomas and Helen Evelyn Smith Mull and passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 19 days.


    Mary accepted the Lord early in life. She graduated from high school in Des Moines, Iowa.
    She married Rodney Woodrow Brown on August 26, 1964 in Lancaster, Missouri.
    They lived in California for many years where she worked for Toys R US.
    When Rodney retired from the Navy they moved from California to Cuba, Missouri in 1986 and lived on the family farm. She worked for Wal-Mart for 20+ years and spent time in almost every department.
    She was a former member of the Cuba VFW Local 7147 and she also volunteered at The Storehouse, a local Christian not-for-profit thrift shop. She loved to play bingo, go fishing, work around the house, and collected materials for making crafts.
    She loved looking after her chickens and ducks. Those in the community have described her as a kind, hardworking and loving woman who was a great role model for those around her.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Brown; parents, Charles and Helen Mull; parents-in-law, Ralph and Bessie Heaberlin Brown; brother, Thomas Mull; brothers-in-law, Barry Arnett and Roger (Patty) Brown; and grandchildren, Alyssa Brown and Jeffery D. Harris II.
    She is survived by her children, Richard (Patty) Brown, Jamie (Jackie) Brown, all of Cuba, Missouri, Mike (Rhonda) Brown of Leasburg, Missouri, Robert Brown of Woodward, Iowa, Rodger (Jennifer McDonald) Brown of Leasburg, Missouri, Bonnie (Jeffery) Harris of Cuba, Missouri, Donald Brown, Liberty Brown and Nevaeh Brown, all of Leasburg, Missouri; sister, Patty Brown of Cuba, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Nina Kaye Arnett of Knoxville, Iowa and Judy Mull of Cuba, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
    A Celebration of Life service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Jeffery Harris officiating.
    Inurnment in the Mull Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri at a later time.
    Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
