Dnette Butler


    Dnette (nee Roark-Hicks) Butler  of Rolla, Missouri was born on Thursday, September 29, 1960 to Robert Wesley and Elsie Maxine Garcia Roark and  passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 25 days.


    Dnette was adopted by Emmett and Shirley Hicks and grew up in Belle, Missouri where she attended school.
    She had accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and attended New Life Worship Center in St. James, Missouri.
    She enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis and the Gaithers.  Dnette liked the outdoors and to make people laugh.  She looked forward to eating her son Ricky’s chili.
    She was preceded in death by her biological parents, Robert and Elsie Roark; adopted parents, Emmett Hicks, Leatha Hicks and Shirley Hicks; siblings, James “Jimmy” Blaine, Omar “Eddie” Heckethorn, Wesley Ray Heckethorn, Danny (Cathy) White and seven other siblings; and brother-in-law, Bud Williams.
    She is survived by her son, Ricky (Kiersten) Butler of Rolla, Missouri; siblings, Gene “Chief” (Yenny) Roark of St. James, Missouri, Nickolas “Nick” (Joellen) Roark of Media, Illinois, Robert “Bobby” W. Roark of Brumley, Missouri, Dwana (Donald) White of Palmyra, Missouri, Mary Lou Williams, Lloyd (April) Hicks, Jeff Newton, Steve Newton, Frankie Hicks and Cindy (Frank) Butler, all of Belle, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Heckethorn of Cahokia, Illinois and Linda Stuart of Jefferson City, Missouri; grandchildren, Rogue Butler, Kenzi Bishop and Kegan Bishop; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Gene Roark, Pastor Cliff Bridgeman and Pastor Allen officiating and live-streamed on Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, MO’s Facebook page.
    The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
