Here’s an update on what the St. James Kiwanis Club has been up to and what is planned for the future.

The St. James Kiwanis Club is excited to announce the winner of the kayak raffle. Congratulations to Mike Littrell from Owensville who purchased his ticket at the St. James Golf Course during the Grellner’s Father’s Day Weekend Tournament. This is the second year in a row that the winning ticket was sold during the golf tournament. That is what we call “working together.” Thanks to Mason Gaddy for pulling the winning ticket. All proceeds from the raffle stay right here in St. James to fund programs for our youth.
Thanks to everyone who donated blood to the American Red Cross during the September Blood Drive.  Your generosity saved lots of lives.
COVID kept the Kiwanis from having their basketball program last year but they have received preliminary “okay” to “play ball” this year.  The program is for boys in grades 3-6.  More information to follow.
The St. James Kiwanis Club currently meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the St. James Senior Center.  Feel free to join them anytime to see what they do. They are always open to new ideas and programs to help the community.
If you would like more information about Kiwanis or if you are interested in joining contact Maretta Diestelkamp at 573-263-4224 or check out their Facebook page.
