Norma Lee Bretz of Farmington, Missouri was born on November 22, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri to Albert “Ted” and Muriel (nee Bacon) Priegle and passed away on September 20,2021 at the age of 85 years.
Norma married Robert “Bob” Bretz on October 3, 1953 and they were happily married for 61 years until his death in 2014.
Norma lived in Cuba, Missouri for more than 25 years prior to moving to Farmington where she was involved in many clubs and activities and where she made many great friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Bretz; son, Timothy Neil Bretz; sister, Lucille Van Bolen; and brother, Earl Priegle.
She is survived by three sons Mark Bretz (Tamara) of Farmington, Missouri, Daniel Bretz (Liz) of Caledonia, Missouri and Ronald Bretz (Lisa) of Florissant, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister-in-law, Jean Bean of Moline, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
In keeping with Norma’s wishes, her body was donated to the Washington University School of Medicine so that science and research could continue to help the next generations for years to come.
A Celebration Of Life will be held in honor of Norma on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1017 Spruce St. in Bismarck, Missouri.
