Darlene L. Chew of Leasburg, Missouri was born on Sunday, February 19, 1961 in Belvidere, Illinois to Robert E. Sr. and Marcella Buchanan Chew and passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the age of 60 years, 7 months and 7 days.
She accepted the Lord as her personal savior early in life at the age of eight years old. She spent her early years in Cuba, Missouri and then moved to St. Louis, Missouri and attended Southwest High School.
She was a nurse’s aide at Briarwood Manor in Cuba, Missouri and at Missouri Veteran’s Home in St. James, Missouri.
She loved pretty flowers, crocheting, playing bingo and Phase 10 with her friends and family and adored her long hair miniature Chihuahua named Pinball.
She was fond of Christmas and enjoyed decorating the whole house.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Chew Sr.; brother, Bob Chew Jr.; sister, Donna Kay (Tom) Williams; grandmother, Mary Helen Gandy; step father, Charles Sansoucie; step mother, Dormalee Chew; and step sister, Jeannie Haney.
She is survived by her l fiancé Walter Beal of Leasburg, Missouri; mother, Marcella Sansoucie of Blackwell, Missouri; brothers, Mike (Susan) Chew of Plato, Missouri and Randy (Shelley) Chew of Owensville, Missouri; other relatives and friends
Visitation was held from 10 a.m.-noon on Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at noon, Friday, October 1, 2021 with Bro. Len Young officiating.
Burial was in the Kinder Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
Pallbearers were Kevin Beal, Robert Callahan, Scott Fugitt, Steve Fujitt, Tyler Fujitt, Kaleb Horn, Kyle Lambert and Deven Williams.
Songs for the service were “My Way” by Elvis, “Take My Hand Precious Lord” by Elvis, “Far Banks of Jordan” by Daniel O’Donnell and “Purpose and a Plan” by Blue Generation.
