Two fun and safe community events will be held to celebrate Halloween in Steelville this year. A drive-through Trick-or-Treat evening will be held at the downtown campus of the Steelville School District on Friday, October 29, and hayrides, treats and games will be provided at the city park on Saturday, October 30.
Steelville Schools will present its 2nd Annual Spooktacular Halloween Drive-Thru event on Friday, October 29 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Vehicles should enter at the Meramec Music Theatre and drive through the middle school parking lot area, where treats will be dispensed. Kids are invited to wear costumes and see the staff and their spooky decorations.
Pumpkin Village is back in 2021 and the theme for the free community event on Saturday, October 30 is “The Creepy Circus.” A “Mild Heebie-Jeebie Hayride” for kids will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by “The Creepy Circus Hayride” presented by Steelville High School.
Attendees are encouraged to enter through the Steelville City Park. Hayrides will begin in the park near the tennis courts. Local businesses and organizations will have booths set up with treats and games for children across the bridge on the Greenway Trail between the park and Industrial Drive.
The 13th annual Pumpkin Village is sponsored this year by the Steelville Tourism Committee and is a free, family-friendly, fun event.
