Cedar Street Players announces the cast of ‘A Christmas Story’

Area residents can celebrate Christmas with The Cedar Street Players’—Ozark Actors Theatre’s community theatre branch—production of “A Christmas Story” December 9-19.

This classic holiday tale centers on a mischievous, bespectacled boy, Ralphie, who dreams of getting a BB-gun for Christmas. In the weeks before the big holiday, Ralphie, his friends and his family get into all kinds of situations—including run-ins with a bully with "yellow eyes," a tongue stuck to a flagpole, a bar of soap in the mouth, a garish leg lamp, a major award and a Chinese Christmas dinner.
“A Christmas Story” is directed by St. Louisan Bekah Harbison and choreographed by Cedar Street Players alum Jordan Woods. Musical direction is by Rolla’s own Jeff Williams with Costume Design by Rolla High School junior Zachary Phelps. The show’s stage managers are Beth Reardon assisted by Jaydin Cooper, with lighting design by Missouri S&T’s Kevin Shaw. Leading sound is Jim Archuleta and the scenic designer is Patrick Ulrich. The team prop master is OAT’s Interim Managing and Education Director Suzanne Withem.
The cast is as follows: Audrey Smith, Ralphie; Heather Smith, Mother; Steve Lah, The Old Man; Dan Reardon, Jean; Pam Widener, Miss Sheilds; Tom Veo, Santa; Quincey Steelman, Flick; Kennedy Jones, Farkus Scout Hargis – Schwartz; Chloe Kissinger, Dill; Maggie Bouse, Mary Beth; Emily Shumaker — Mrs. Schwartz; Jersy Stinson, Esther Jane; and Rylee Neckermann, Nancy.
