Sharon Hope Douglas was born on April 29, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to Vallie Robert and Gertrude Catherine (Price) Douglas and passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at the age of 73 years.
Sharon was a secretarial rock star having worked in the fields of engineering, education and medical.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vallie and Gertrude Douglas; three sisters, Alice Laverne Beckemeyer, Beatrice Elizabeth Cary and Valle Roberta Dace; one brother, Robert James Douglas; and one daughter, Lori Katherine Blacklock.
She is survived by three sisters, Ruth Amelia Steele and husband Phil of O’Fallon, Missouri, June Lee Dimicelli of Cuba, Missouri and Sandra Faith Ness and husband Dewey of St. James, Missouri; two brothers, John Mark Douglas of Elfrida, Arizona and David Paul Douglas and wife Glenda of St. James, Missouri; one son, Matthew Douglas Sanders and wife Cindy of Rolla, Missouri; one daughter, Jeri Lee Faber and husband Matthew of St. James, Missouri; one son-in-law, John Blacklock; 14 grandchildren and their spouses and significant others, Tyler, Taryn, Colby, Caily, Mason, John, Justen, Gregg, David, Kurtis, Trent, Madison, Arianna and Baiden; four great grandchildren, Roman, Bennett, Brooks and Kennedy; other relatives anf friends.
She was adamant that no funeral or service be performed but a potluck dinner she would never pass up.
A potluck will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Matt’s Steakhouse in Rolla, Missouri. Please bring a side dish or dessert. She always loved her vegetables. Meat and potatoes will be provided.
