James “Jamie” Alan Montgomery II of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri, was born on Monday, January 9, 1989 in Rolla, Missouri to James Alan Montgomery I and Lisa Kay Cothran Montgomery and passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the age of 32 years, 10 months and 2 days.
Jamie grew up in Steelville, Missouri and graduated in the Class of 2007 at Steelville High School.
He was known for driving his purple truck with the flames and then two-toned green low-riding truck that his dad painted for him.
After graduating he went to work in the flooring industry and had worked for William J Zickel Floor Contractors in Springfield, Missouri.
He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at an early age and had attended Living Word Church in Leasburg, Missouri.
James enjoyed fishing, shooting trap and his bulldogs.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry Montgomery Sr., Ann Karpowecz and Lawrence “Larry” Cothran.
He is survived by his parents, James “Jimmy” (Claudia) Montgomery I of Cuba, Missouri and Lisa Stringer (Brian Sellers) of Steelville, Missouri; grandparents, Shirley Cothran and Ron and Judy Poncet, all of Steelville, Missouri; siblings, Jonathan (Cynthia) Weber of Spring, Texas, Samantha Stringer (Frank Pearman) of Steelville, Missouri, Jaclyn (Tony) Campos and Jenna Montgomery, both of Cuba, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Sheri (John) Pogorzelski of Arnold, Missouri, Jerry (Melanie) Montgomery of Cuba, Missouri, John (Traci) Cothran of Springfield, Missouri, Greg (Julie) Poncet of St. Louis, Missouri and Laura (Wes) Whitley of Spring, Texas; nephews, Rylee Stringer, Eli Weber, Ezra Weber, Owen Carey and Cyrus Montgomery; niece, Marly Stringer; other relatives and friends.
Visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Alan Miles officiating.
Burial at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
