Raymond Eugene Lawrence

    Raymond Eugene Lawrence of Sullivan, Missouri was born March 24, 1933 in Stanton, Missouri to Alexander and Ollie (Armistead) Lawrence and passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the age of 88 years.

    He grew up and attended school in Sullivan, Missouri and graduated from Sullivan High School, Class of 1952.
    Raymond entered the United States Army and served for two years, during the Korean War, before being honorably discharged.
    Raymond married Linda Jones in 1961.
    Throughout his earlier years, Raymond worked at the major car manufacturers, such as Chrysler, Ford and Chevy. He later became employed by Rexall Drug, where he remained for many years.
    Prior to retiring in 1995, Raymond worked as a stationary engineer for Deaconess Hospital. After he retired, Raymond and his son Bob would fix up houses around the area.
    Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on vehicles. He was very fond of birds, especially hummingbirds. He even had a pet crow as a young boy. Raymond was a quiet man, but had a big heart for people and nature.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Ollie Lawrence; three brothers, Norman, Cecil and Herman Lawrence; and one sister, Alice Sarigiani.
    He is survived by his three children, Ronald “Rick” Lawrence and wife Rhonda of Bourbon, Missouri, Ronda Kipp and husband James of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Robert “Bob” Lawrence of Sullivan, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Jerome Lawrence and wife Cambria of Bourbon, Missouri, Ronni Nanney and husband Chris of Steelville, Missouri, Tray Kipp of Albany, New York, Rogan Kipp of Peoria, Illinois, Krayton Kipp of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Cory, Craig and Chistopher Lawrence, all of Sullivan, Missouri; seven great grandchildren, Dacoda, Alizabeth, Veda, Christopher, Owen, Mason and Peyton; one great great grandchild, Ray Lynn; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
    Funeral services were held at noon on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
    Interment followed in the Stanton Cemetery.
