Tammy K. Callahan

    Tammy K. (nee Dobkins) Callahan of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, June 25, 1974 in Laramie, Wyoming to L.T. “Skip” and Rita Kay Vieyra Dobkins and passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the age of 47 years and 6 months.

    Tammy attended school in both Encampment, Wyoming and Rolla, Missouri.  
    She married Michael Callahan on Saturday, January 14, 1989 at the American Legion Hall in Cuba, Missouri.
    She was a homemaker. Tammy enjoyed riding horses, shooting pool, fishing, motorcycle riding, diamond painting, going to yard sales and tending to her vegetable garden.  She loved to can her homegrown vegetables and deer meat.
    In the early years, she was fond of squirrel hunting.  She crocheted blankets, potholders, hats and dish scrubbers.  She loved making jewelry, especially bracelets, earrings, and rings as well as attending gem shows and exploring exhibits.
    She was preceded in death by her grandparents; sister-in-law, Joy Schneider; and two sons, Paden Callahan and Dustin “Dusty” Callahan.
    She is survived by her husband, Michael Callahan of Cuba, Missouri; parents, L.T. “Skip” and Rita Kay Dobkins of Steelville, Missouri; parents-in-law, Dave and Leona “Bonnie” Callahan of Cuba, Missouri; children, Cody (Brandi) Callahan of Cuba, Missouri,  Dakota Callahan (significant other Aaron Downing) of Liberty, Missouri and Dalton Callahan of Cuba, Missouri; grandchildren, Oakleigh Callahan and Magnolia Callahan, both of Cuba, Missouri; brothers, Rocky (Jennifer) Dobkins and Stoney (Lisa) Dobkins, all of Steelville, Missouri; brothers-in-law,  Stan Prince of Sullivan, Missouri and Jerry Schneider of Cuba, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Tina Dickens of Salem, Missouri, Stacie Chandler and Donna Davenport, both of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Brother Shane Ryerson officiating.
    The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
