Mary F. (nee Brown) Martin of Cherryville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, July 19, 1932 in Cherryville, Missouri to John Edward and Nellie Leatha (nee Tallent) Brown and passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 16 days.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Crawford County and attended Cherryville High School.
She had accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and was of the Pentecostal faith.
She married Dwight Paul Martin on June 10, 1950 in Davisville, Missouri.
Mary was a homemaker and picked strawberries and grapes seasonally for the Helmerings. She enjoyed cooking, canning and sewing. She liked to play Rummy and Yahtzee with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie Brown; parents-in-law, James and Sara Martin; husband, Dwight Paul Martin; infant son, Dwight Edward Martin; son, Leonard Gene Martin; siblings, Mabel Callahan, Eddie Brown and Harry Brown; infant sister, Edna Brown; and infant great granddaughter, Shaina Kay.
She is survived by her children, Paul Martin and Mary Ann Martin, both of Cherryville, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Patricia Martin of Cherryville, Missouri; siblings, Linda Helms of Steelville, Missouri, Leatha Setzer and Allen (Pat) Brown, both of Cherryville, Missouri and Rena (Donald) Jackson of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Lucille Harmon and Martha Martin, both of Steelville, Missouri and Bernieth King of Hillsboro, Missouri; grandchildren, Lisa (Richard) Gillam, Rebecca (Ray) Martin, Sandy Mahurin, Mary Jane McFadden, Michael (Connie) Martin, Kevin (Sarah) Martin and Deborah (Josh) Callahan; great grandchildren, Richard Paul (Liz), April (Al), Waylen, Katherine (Dylan), Kaylee, Cody, Kayleb, Andrew Jackson, Jazlynn, Kaylynn, Justin, Chesney and Dwight; great great granddaughter, Timber Fawn; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Donald Mitchell officiating.
Burial was at the Martin-Trask Cemetery in Cherryville, Missouri.
